Fashion Lust List

Well hello there...

I have been lusting after so many things recently, so I thought I'd make a wish list of some of my favourites.
My bank balance won't allow me to buy them all, but a girl can dream, right?
Fashion Lust List

I think that midi dresses are super flattering, and a great piece, if you don't want to show off too much flesh.
I love this simple black and white striped number, I think it'll look gorgeous, paired with the cut out heels. Perfect for Spring!

This Fry day jumper, has been on my wish list for so long! It's great for lounging around at home, or with some skinnies (like the gorgeous ripped ones above) and a pair of white lace-up pumps, for a casual daytime look.

I hope you enjoyed this 'Fashion Lust List' post, What do you think of my fashion picks? What's on your wish list? Or have you been buying lots of new pieces lately?

Healthy Lifestyle: How To Stay Healthy While Travelling

Well hello there...

I find it's always a struggle when travelling, to stay healthy and eat well, as there's an abundance of chocolate/sweets/burgers/chips/bacon on offer at the airport.
So, I thought I would share my tips and tricks, that I use while travelling, to stay healthier and less likely to succumb to calorific airport food. Step away from the bacon buttie...
I hope these tips will be of help to you, next time you are going on holiday!

Let's get started...

Eat breakfast before you leave
It depends on what time your flight is, I usually try to book a late morning or early afternoon flight, so that we can arrive at a reasonable time, and spend our day exploring the area, rather than travelling all day long.
I went on holiday in January, and my flight departed at 12.30pm, which isn't too bad!
Before I left my house in Devon, to travel the 2 hours to Bristol airport, I made sure that I had a healthy breakfast, to set me up for the day.

These are my favourite breakfasts, I find they always keep me fuller for longer:
Granola and 0% fat Greek yoghurt with frozen berries
Scrambled eggs made with skimmed milk, a slice of toast and topped with smoked salmon
Boiled eggs and soldiers

If you are in a major rush because you overslept, try having a cereal or granola bar on the run, or grab some grapes, an apple and a satsuma to fill you up.

Airport food:
Ah, airport food... it's always pretty unhealthy and ridiculously expensive, yet we still dig in out of pure convenience.
I must admit, that I usually grab something to eat at the airport for lunch, to keep me going until we reach our destination.

Here are my top tips for eating at the airport:

Make smarter choices
Instead of a bacon sandwich or greasy Burger King, opt for a Subway salad, flatbread or low fat sub on wholegrain bread.
My top choices are the Chicken breast or turkey breast salads, which both come in at around 100 to 200 calories, if you skip the dressing.

You could even grab something from Starbucks, they have pots of fresh fruit, porridge, delicious salads and sandwiches.

I flew from Bristol airport, and they had a Soho Coffee Co, which had everything from granola, yoghurt and fresh fruit, to healthy freshly made sandwiches and low-calorie popcorn!

Try to pick a low calorie, high protein sandwich on wholemeal bread, such as chicken, turkey  or tuna, with salad, and watch out for the mayo ladden options.

Bring snacks with you
A punnet of grapes, a banana, fresh berries, a handful of almonds or a granola bar, are all great healthy options and will save you some money.

Do your research
Have a look at the airports website, they always have a list of the restaurants and takeaways, that are in the airport. They usually have the menu links too, have a look at what the best low-calorie options are, so you aren't overwhelmed when you get to the airport.
I find that sometimes I will pick the unhealthy option, out of pure convenience

Stay hydrated
Make sure you buy a bottle of water, after you go through security - more often than not, we confuse hunger for thirst, if you feel hungry but haven't long had your breakfast, try drinking a 500ml bottle of water, if you still feel hungry, then have a small healthy snack.

If you do happen to indulge while travelling, don't worry about it, as long as you eat the things you love in moderation, you won't derail your diet, or healthy lifestyle.
 You're on holiday after all!

I've linked a few popular UK airports below:

Lifestyle: A Peek In To My Life #2

Well hello there...

It's time for another peek in to my life post! I really enjoyed writing my last one, (have a nosy here) so much so, that I thought I would make it in to a regular series, here on my blog.
Instead of doing monthly favourites, each month, I thought I'd mix it up a bit, and share my favourite things, along with what I've been up to recently.

Let's get started...
1. I have been dancing my arse off, seriously - I've been sweating buckets, playing on the Just Dance 2015 game for the wii. I love it! It's such a fun way to exercise.
My favourite song to shake my booty to, has to be Enrique Iglesias - Bailando.
It makes me feel like a, albeit slightly sweaty, Spanish seƱorita!

2. Green tea is the best! I drink bloody gallons of the stuff, my favourite lately has been the Clipper Green Tea. Delish.

3. My big sister bought me an Elizabeth Arden make up set, for Christmas.
I have been testing it out, swatching colours and generally bloody loving it!
It comes with lots of goodies, from eye-shadow palettes, make up brushes, to lipsticks, glosses and more! I've been loving the Desert Rose and Breathless lipsticks, they are both perfect Winter/Spring lipsticks. So pretty!

4. Me and my boyfriend, love nothing more than getting in to our pyjamas, snuggling in bed and watching TV box sets. It's just the perfect way to relax (check out my favourite box sets here) Lately, we've been addicted to The Walking Dead, we've just finished the forth series. Daryl is totally my fave character, he's cute and who doesn't love a guy who can wield a crossbow?

5. My favourite food recently has been, Nature Valley Oats and Honey Protein Granola. I love granola, I have it for breakfast most days with a pot of Total 0% Greek yoghurt and topped with berries. A delicious and healthy start to the day!

6. I've finally had my hair cut, I've needed it for about a year and kept putting it off.
But, I'm so glad I went for the chop - I love my new shorter hair. Without all the weight dragging it down, my curls are much bouncier!

7. I treated myself to a snazzy new bag, from John Lewis.
It's by Paul's Boutique, and it's called the 'Watercolour bag'.
I wear a bit too much black, so I thought I'd buy myself a colourful bag, to jazz up my look a bit! I am in love, it's such a gorgeous bag.

I hope you enjoyed this 'A peek in to my life' post, What's been going on in your life lately? What are your current favourites?

Millet Sports: Nike Running Shoes

Well hello there...

As you may already know, in 2014 I overhauled my diet, I started eating healthier, and working out more, and I have now lost over four stone.
I love my new lifestyle, I actually feel healthier, fitter, and I am much more confident in myself.
I have found myself actually enjoying exercising, I feel so much better after I've worked out, it's like I have achieved something.
I've also been drooling over gorgeous workout gear, and brightly coloured trainers, I find that wearing bright colours, motivates me to want to work out!

Today I am sharing with you my thoughts on the Nike Air Zoom Elite running shoes*,  from Millet Sports

Let's get started...
Nike Air Zoom Running Shoes*
Firstly, the colours - aren't they just gorgeous!
The fuchsia and teal shades, are so vibrant - my current trainers are black and white, so these beauties are a welcome pop of colour.
I love the fact that they are lightweight on the feet, yet still cushioned on the inside, for maximum comfort.

These trainers have a mesh material on the outside, which helps your feet to breathe and stay cool, as your run or workout intensifies.
I have size 7 feet, and I find that sometimes with trainers, I have to go up or down a size, depending on the fit and style of the shoe.
But not with these trainers, they feel so supportive, are extremely comfortable and they fit like a glove.

Overall, I am a bit obsessed with these beauties, I have worn them several times while working out, and they don't slip or rub, they feel comfortable and secure on my feet.
A winner!

They cost £80.99 from Millet Sports, and come in a variety of sizes, from a 3 to an 11.
They also have half sizes, which is great if your feet are in a mid-range, there is a vast selection of gorgeous trainers, to suit anyone!

I hope you enjoyed this 'Nike running shoes review', What do you think of these trainers? Are you starting a healthier lifestyle? Do you love brightly coloured workout gear as much as me?

I'd love to know, leave me a lovely comment below.
